Saint Patrick’s Day

With the New Year and Valentine’s Day both in the rear-view mirror and the third month of 2023 getting ready to begin. The month of March is, of course, synonymous with the celebration of St.Patricks Day. The moment where everyone’s a little bit Irish and celebrating is encouraged. For those who might not be aware of the origins of this holiday, allow us to take a few moments to explain. St. Patrick’s Day is when the patron saint of Ireland is commemorated for bringing bring Christianity to the Emerald Isle and driving the “snakes” away. (Snakes being a term most likely used to describe the old Pagan religions.)

There are certainly a wide variety of ways to celebrate the holiday, with some enjoying traditional Irish cuisine and others attending a parade which usually includes a great deal of traditional Irish music. Now, if a parade isn’t your cup of tea (or pint of Guinness, for that matter), Mcgrath’s Irish Ale House is throwing on a monumental celebration worthy of such an important holiday.

The event, of course, begins on March 17th. And, in keeping the tradition of celebrating St. Patrick, we’re starting early and going late. Things kick off at 1:00 PM and go all to way to 9:00 PM. That’s eight hours of drinks and dining that will make this one St. Patricks Day to remember. And what would St. Patricks Day be without lively music that celebrates the culture of the emerald isle?

Live Irish Music

We have three musical groups that will be performing. First up, at the start of the celebration, is Coddle Stew. Then, from 4:30 to 8:30, the sounds of Celtish will accompany the atmosphere, finished up by Fresh Air from 8:30 to 11:30.

Authentic Taste & Fun for the Whole Family

Not only will we be serving up plenty of beautiful foods and traditional Irish Drinks, but we also plan on providing lots of games and entertainment for the wee ones as well. Plenty of dancing, raffles, and giveaways are going to take place as well. Plan ahead and enjoy, for this day only comes around once a year.
